Aquatic Therapy
Pool-based treatment focused on purposeful exercises and activities provided by our licensed Physical Therapist to support your child’s needs. These are not swim classes, but skills gained will support swimming safety and confidence. Each session focuses on individual physical therapy goals.
Strengthens targeted muscle groups
Increases coordination, balance and motor planning
Promotes sensory input and regulation
Improves safety and independence in pool
Important information
Sessions run in 6 week rotations
Start dates : March 4th, April 15th, May 27th, July 8th, August 19th, September 23rd, and November 11th
You can participate in more than one rotation based on availability
Tuesday mornings between 9-12 (your time will be assigned when scheduling)
45 minute sessions
Classes held at the Macedonia Rec Center
Parents are required to stay during sessions. They may participate in the session or watch.
Funding
Our aquatic therapy will be provided at a package rate due at the beginning of the 6 weeks or charged weekly.
Each 6 week rotation is $900
an evaluation on land is required and may add an additional amount

We do! Our physical therapist will review any evaluations that have been completed in the last 6 months to determine if the necessary information is available. If you do not have a physical therapy evaluation, we will do one for you. This evaluation can be billed through insurance or offered at a self pay rate of $150.

Yes! They keep the activity pool at 88 degrees

The pool is zero entry, meaning there is a gradual slope into the pool. Children that can walk independently will walk into the pool. PT can carry your child in depending on the size of the child. There is a wheelchair that can be used to enter and exit the pool if needed.

Our Physical Therapist, Kassie, will be one on one with your child throughout the entire session. Additionally, lifeguards will be present at all times.

The pool is a zero entry and has a max depth of 4 ft. Our PT will determine the best location in the pool based on your child’s size. Most sessions will be completed in 3ft or less.
